Alison M. JosepH, MSN, NP-BC, BSN, RN Owner, Nurse Practitioner
Alison Joseph is a Nationally Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and Co-Owner of JBA. In her practice, JBA Concierge Medicine, she helps clients optimize their wellness goals through motivation, education, and research-based medical data. She essentially helps clients exhausted from the current medical system work towards optimizing their health with achievable goals!
Alison earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Russell Sage College in 2007 and her Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Sage Graduate School in 2014. In 2003, she also attained a World History degree from SUNY Albany. She has worked in Primary Care, Orthopedic Trauma, and Neurosurgery in a variety of settings, including a Level 1 Trauma center and local community hospitals. She is currently undergoing coursework in Functional Medicine through the IFM.
Through Alison's years of experience, she has been both a patient and provider, a parent, child, sister, aunt, niece, significant other, and friend of other patients. She has learned that there is a great capacity and ability for care to be human and to feel heard, seen, and safe. This is the care she provides.
In her spare time, Alison enjoys hiking, cycling, traveling, making sourdough bread, gardening, spending time with her family, and her dogs.
John e. Brown, Sr., BS, LPN Owner, Health/Wellness Coach
John is a NYS licensed LPN and is the Co- Owner of JBA. He earned his LPN degree from Albany Memorial School of Nursing in 2004. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Albany in 2008. John has worked in Primary care, Ophthalmology, and Neurology in a variety of settings during his career.
In his practice, JBA Concierge Medicine, John provides insight and what we call “gems” of knowledge that help reorganize stale thought processes to achieve wellness and personal goals.
In his spare time, John is a Music Engineer, Producer, Vocalist and DJ. He has been featured in multiple publications, podcasts, and newspapers, serving as a leader in the community and performing music around the globe. John also has a passion for cooking particulary Caribbean, Asian, and Italian dishes.
